"Las Cuerdas del Titiritero"
(The puppeteer's strings)

This production presented by Early Music In Motion was successfully premiered in March of 2007 at the John Waldron Arts Performance Series. This new music commission (music by Gerardo Dirie and libretto by Josep Sobrer) brings together poetry of Miguel de Cervantes of 16th - century Spain with the musical instruments used in his time to spark a living event of music, poetry and drama.
The performances are in Spanish with English subtitles and provide a multicultural and multilingual experience for all ages. Critiqued by the Bloomington Herald Times as a production of " spunk and charm" and of a performance "hammed up deliciously and outrageously", this production offers entertainment for the entire family. If you are interested in a performance of this production please contact us.
